Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Akad For Businesses. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

Eligibility & Accounts

You must be authorized to act on behalf of the business you represent. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Akad may suspend or terminate access if we detect unauthorized use or policy violations.

Vendor Content

You retain ownership of the information, images, and other materials you submit. By providing content you grant Akad a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it for the purpose of operating and promoting the marketplace. You are responsible for ensuring the content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe third party rights.

Platform Services

Akad may update or discontinue features at any time to improve the platform. We provide reasonable notice of material changes when practicable. You agree to use the service in accordance with all applicable laws.

Paid Services & Billing

Akad offers optional paid services, including promoted placements (such as Home Card and banner placements) and Pro plan upgrades that unlock additional profile capacity and analytics. Pricing for these services is communicated to you directly, and payment is currently arranged manually — typically over WhatsApp or by invoice — rather than processed automatically through the platform. We do not collect or store payment card data. Unless required by law or agreed otherwise in writing, fees for paid services are non-refundable; to raise a billing question or request a cancellation, contact support@akad.com.my. We will give reasonable advance notice of any change to pricing or paid features.

Enquiries & Credits

Couples can send you enquiries through the Akad Planner app. Access to enquiries may be gated by a credit balance: each enquiry can consume credits, and when your balance is depleted, new enquiries may be held until you claim them or replenish your balance. We do not guarantee any particular volume, quality, or outcome of enquiries. Enquiries are anonymised — you receive the couple's message and high-level wedding details such as date and budget range, but not their contact information unless the couple chooses to share it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the platform, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or upload malicious code. Akad reserves the right to remove content or restrict access where we determine these Terms have been violated.

Disclaimers & Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Akad is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
